Creating Pretty Cards – Sketch Challenge #68!

Each month in addition to the great 3D projects that we have for you, we also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!!

To help you recreate the sketch each month, we’ve also provided a free Sketch Mini Tutorial! This mini tutorial has information about how the inspiration card (using the sketch) was created, supplies used, and basic measurements!!

A couple guidelines before we get started and you submit your creations to our challenge!

Please Do!:

  • Share cards related to each month’s card challenge using Stampin’ Up! supplies only.
  • Post the card to your blog or other online forum (e.g. Splitcoaststampers).
  • When posting the card to your blog or other online forum consider using as a keyword CPCX, with the X representing the card challenge number. E.g. For this our 68th challenge it would be CPC68.
  • Use the link tool below to link to your card (not just your blog, please).
  • If posting to your blog, please link back to Craft Project Central.
  • Leave comments for those that share their card creations! Thank you!

Please Don’t!:

  • Try to advertise with your creations.
  • Use non-Stampin’ Up! supplies, stamp sets, ribbon, accessories, etc. on your creations.

We reserve the right to remove submissions that don’t meet the above criteria, but we don’t want to have to do that, so please do the do’s!

For every ten cards submitted, we’ll pick one winner of a free month subscription here on Craft Project Central! The winner(s) will get to select the month of their choice! So if we have 15 submissions this month we’ll randomly pick one winner from all submissions*. If we have 40 submissions we’ll randomly pick four winners from all submissions*, and so on! We really want to give away some free subscriptions, so please do join our challenge!!

*If our project designers submit a card for your inspiration this month, they won’t be in the winner random-selection pool, but their cards will count towards the “for every 10 cards submitted winner total”.

Tea-riffic Treats!

Did you get the instructions for this Tea-riffic Treats project when it was posted last March? If you didn’t and you’d like to, you’ll want to subscribe to March 2016 before it is deleted from the site on March 1st, to make room for March 2017 projects!

Tea-riffic Treats SP

The projects in this tutorial are simple enough for new stampers, and the treats themselves will make anyone feel “tea-riffic”! Whether you need just a pretty card (adorned with charms, of course) or an ensemble of treats, this might be the perfect project! Create a package to hold an assortment of tea bags, a tea cup-shaped bookmark, and a box of cookies shaped like tea bags. This ensemble wouldn’t be complete with a note card, and the tutorial even includes a pretty way to prevent the string from a tea bag from falling into a cup!

If you already subscribed to March 2016, you’ll want to make sure to download all of the project instructions before March 1st too!

This card set features the Lift Me Up Bundle and the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper. This tutorial teaches how to make three different card designs, and a matching bag to put them in. This would make a great card class, too.

Flower Topiary Gift Set SP

This gift ensemble screams spring and is sure to bring a smile to someone’s face. The topiary is made using punches, plus die cuts and of course a little bling. The cutest thing about the topiary is that the bottom box opens in the front and you can put in a few pieces of chocolate or tuck another little gift in there. The Birthday Card is embossed; water colored, fussy cut and layered plus the envelope is lined with Designer Series Paper (DSP). It’s so relaxing to paint the flower with Aqua Painters and having layers adds dimension. The little gift tag and bag finish the ensemble then you are ready to give this set to a special someone. Bonus is the cute little Lady Bug.
