Happy Friday everyone! First of all, I’d like to apologize for not doing a Creating Pretty Cards post last Friday! When I set up the Linky at the beginning of the month, I must have missed checking the box that indicates that I would like an email each time a card is submitted. So last week I was so sad thinking we hadn’t had any cards submitted yet this month as I hadn’t received any emails! A couple days ago, I was pinning a couple projects on the site and ran across all of the great cards that had indeed been submitted this month, and was so surprised and delighted!!!
So thank you everyone that has submitted a card so far this month!! They’re all so great, and I love every one of them! I’m glad that I don’t have to pick a favorite this week, as we’ll be picking randomly at the end of the month based on how many total submissions we have for the month. For every 10 cards submitted, we’ll do a random name draw for a free month subscription to Craft Project Central! And you can submit as many cards using the sketch, as you’d like! Your name goes into the drawing with each card you submit!
At this point, we’ll have at least one winner at the end of the month, and if we get just seven more cards entered, we’ll have at least two!! So I hope you’ll have the time and inclination to join us this month and submit your creation!! We really want to give a bunch of subscriptions away, so please join us!
Here are the details on the challenge this month:
Each month in addition to the great 3D projects that we have for you, we also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!! This month is our 14th card sketch and we’re looking forward to seeing what you create!
In addition to the sketch we’ve also provided a Sketch Mini Tutorial! This mini tutorial has information about how the inspiration card (using the sketch) was created, supplies used, and basic measurements!!
A couple guidelines before we get started and you submit your creations to our challenge!
- Share cards related to each month’s card challenge using Stampin’ Up! supplies only.
- Post the card to your blog or other online forum (e.g. Splitcoaststampers).
- When posting the card to your blog or other online forum consider using as a keyword CPCX, with the X representing the card challenge number. E.g. For this our 14th challenge it would be CPC14.
- Use the link tool below to link to your card (not just your blog, please).
- If posting to your blog, please link back to Craft Project Central.
- Leave comments for those that share their card creations! Thank you!
- Try to advertise with your creations.
- Use non-Stampin’ Up! supplies, stamp sets, ribbon, accessories, etc. on your creations.
We reserve the right to remove submissions that don’t meet the above criteria, but we don’t want to have to do that, so please do the do’s!
For every ten cards submitted, we’ll pick one winner of a free month subscription here on Craft Project Central! The winner(s) will get to select the month of their choice! So if we have 15 submissions this month we’ll randomly pick one winner from all submissions*. If we have 40 submissions we’ll randomly pick four winners from all submissions*, and so on! We really want to give away some free subscriptions, so please do join our challenge!! We’ll check in every Friday to see how the submissions are coming along! First check in will be Friday, August 10th, so please submit a card before then!
*If our project designers submit a card for your inspiration this month, they won’t be in the winner random-selection pool, but their cards will count towards the "for every 10 cards submitted winner total".
Here is our next Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #14!!
Both the card sketch and the great inspiration card were designed and made by one of our very talented designers, Kris! They had 107 degree weather in Oklahoma last weekend and Kris couldn’t handle the heat and decided to get her hair cut off! I love her new do! Isn’t it so cute!?!
We hope that you will be inspired to try your creativity, join our challenge, and share your creations today!!
