Creating Pretty Cards – Card Challenge #42!

Each month in addition to the great 3D projects that we have for you, we also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!!

To help you recreate the sketch each month, we’ve also provided a Sketch Mini Tutorial! This mini tutorial has information about how the inspiration card (using the sketch) was created, supplies used, and basic measurements!! And this month we’re changing it up a bit and have a tag sketch! Who doesn’t love to make their own tags for their holiday gift giving!

A couple guidelines before we get started and you submit your creations to our challenge!

Please Do!:

  • Share cards related to each month’s card challenge using Stampin’ Up! supplies only.
  • Post the card to your blog or other online forum (e.g. Splitcoaststampers).
  • When posting the card to your blog or other online forum consider using as a keyword CPCX, with the X representing the card challenge number. E.g. For this our 42nd challenge it would be CPC42.
  • Use the link tool below to link to your card (not just your blog, please).
  • If posting to your blog, please link back to Craft Project Central.
  • Leave comments for those that share their card creations! Thank you!

Please Don’t!:

  • Try to advertise with your creations.
  • Use non-Stampin’ Up! supplies, stamp sets, ribbon, accessories, etc. on your creations.

We reserve the right to remove submissions that don’t meet the above criteria, but we don’t want to have to do that, so please do the do’s!

For every ten cards submitted, we’ll pick one winner of a free month subscription here on Craft Project Central! The winner(s) will get to select the month of their choice! So if we have 15 submissions this month we’ll randomly pick one winner from all submissions*. If we have 40 submissions we’ll randomly pick four winners from all submissions*, and so on! We really want to give away some free subscriptions, so please do join our challenge!!

*If our project designers submit a card for your inspiration this month, they won’t be in the winner random-selection pool, but their cards will count towards the “for every 10 cards submitted winner total”.

Designer Line Up for December!

Welcome to Craft Project Central for December!!

Wow, it’s the last month of the year and the holidays are here!  If you’re like me, you’re working on your holiday cards, tags and gifts.  My 11 year old niece asked me the other day “Auntie, what would you like more for Christmas?  Something I bought or something I made?”  I didn’t even have to think about it!!  And even my 16 year old niece that was standing there too, said “Definitely something you made!!”  Even young kids know the thought, time and value of something homemade!  Something that you took the time and cared enough to make yourself!

This year, I’m taking the time to make gifts for the people I care about, the two gals that work in my doctors office (I have an appointment next Tuesday so I better get busy!), my neighbors, friends, co-workers, the kids’ teachers, my mailman (yes, I’m making him a Recycled Bottle Gift a project posted last month!), the gal that cuts my hair, and the gal that does my fingernails, etc!  I love that our talented designers have such great ideas and they all come up with such unique projects!  They make it so easy for me to pick what I want to craft and give away.  And I love so much learning from their great ideas!  I love our designers and love “stamping” with them!  I hope that you will take the time to get to know each of them through this site and their own personal blogs.  They are such a wonderful group of talented crafters and I for one am so thankful for them and the wonderful projects they share with us each month!

Without further ado, here are the talented gals that are bringing us more awesome projects this month!

Monthly Memories Album!

Let’s face it . . . not every stamper is a scrapbooker, but we all have dates, events, activities, milestones, etc. that we’d like to record and remember. This Monthly Memories Album, which can stand on its own, is comprised of pockets—one for each month—with at least one card in each pocket to record (with journaling and/or photos) special events. Of course, photos and mementos can be included or attached to the front (and/or back) of each pocket. The whole family can be involved recording a memory about something special for each month! The handy gift bag features a really neat way to make sure the card doesn’t get lost or separated from the gift and, of course, there’s a gift box for the album! This is an especially perfect gift for a New Year’s party hostess, or host your own party and give this ensemble to each of your guests!
